Week 36

So, I just have to start off by saying that Conference was absolutely AMAZING! I loved every second of it! I never really cherished Conference much before but now I really see the blessing it brings into our lives. Although it was such a short time to learn everything I plan on studying the talks throughout the next 6 months to get more out of all of the talks.

We were also able to have a Baptism this weekend. Her name is Camila and she's the sister of Maria Jose so that was really cool! Her dad afterward also came up and asked us what they need to do to get married so were going to work more on helping them to get married.

We got changes yesterday and my companion went off to Ambato today and I'm here with my District Leader and I will be training this change. Its going to be crazy but I'm ready for the challenge! I hope you all have a great week and I hope you all know how much I love you!

Pouch Mail

Pouch mail is a service provided by the LDS church. Items are sent via USPS to church headquarters where they are forwarded to the missionary by a private courier along with other church mail. Pouch mail leaves every Friday. Only postcards or one-page correspondences (no envelopes) written on one side of the page may be sent. No photographs.

Letter folding instructions when using the pouch mail service. Lay the letter blank side down. Fold the bottom of the letter about one-third of the way up the page and crease. Fold the top of the letter to the bottom of the first fold and crease. Secure the long side with two piece of tape about one inch from each end, but do not seal the ends. In the top left corner write your name and return address. Affix first class postage in the top right corner. In the middle write the missionary's address as follows:

FREE LETTER SENDING

Go to www.dearelder.com and set up an account. This is a free service. They will send the letter via pouch mail for you. Make sure you select the Ecuador Quito mission, not the Quito North mission. Follow the instructions. It is very simple!

If you are wanting to send a dearelder.com letter to the Mexico MTC, it is also free. What you need to do is from the home page at dearelder.com under "send stuff" select Pouch (free) from the left columnon. On the next page scroll to the bottom and click search for your mission maually. scroll down to the Mexico MTC and click on "write letter". I'm not sure why you have to do it this way. Hope it helps:)

Packages may not exceed 4 pounds AND MUST carry a green sticker, even if the post office workers suggest you use a white one. It must have this customs declaration on the package, or it will not be accepted in Ecuador.

DO NOT SEND PACKAGES BY PRIORITY MAIL OR FEDEX. These will automatically go to "mail jail", requiring a special trip to the post office and payment of a large fee. All of which will cause a long delay for Kaiden to receive the package.
